Luc Perez is a graduate from the Fine Arts School of Lyon, France. His first student works were experimental videos mixing actors, toys and paintings. After a decade of working for several French TV channels and corporate companies as Director, editor, art director, Luc felt the need to go solo. A short time after, he rediscovered the pleasure of painting. Now he likes to use this painterly approach to tell meaningful stories. He uses colors and forms as an invisible character adding feelings and emotions into the narration. His films are always quite close to a documentary and realistic style, but he likes to use the sensuality of handcraft drawing to « trap » the audience. For the last 15 years Luc has developed this unique technique for his personal work as well as for commissioned films. Luc currently lives in Copenhagen, Denmark.
