Martin Živocký was born in the City of Shoes - Zlin, Czech Republic. His mother always said that he “was born with the pencil in his hand.” When Martin was a teen, he was elated to find out that there was a discipline, which combined his love of illustration, film and special effects. He later attended Thomas Bata University in Zlin, where he studied computer animation. In 2011, he completed his film The Case, which was chosen for the official student competition in Annecy. The film went on to win best student short film at Anima in Brussels and at Anifilm in the Czech Republic, the film also toured in the Animation Show of Shows. In 2012, Martin made his first music video with his brother Honza, for Czech singer Boris Carloff. The video won best Czech music video of 2012.
